Couly-Dutheil Blanc du Franc 2016

Descriptions:

Founded in 1921 by Baptiste Dutheil, then developed by René Couly who married Madeleine Duthiel, the House of Couly-Dutheil has become one of the great names and top producers of Chinon. The family owns 87 hectares of prestigious estate vineyards, including the famous Clos de l’Olive & Clos de l’Echo (royal vineyard of the King of France).

Today, the property is run by Jacques Couly-Dutheil and his son, Arnaud, who is recognized as one of the most creative & talented young winemakers in the region.

100% Cabernet Franc, white wine with a light pink hue. Floral & fruity nose with rose aromas and small red fruit notes. Dry wine with rich structure & savoury tannins. Refreshing finale. Average age of vines: 25 years old.

CP Chardonnay

Descriptions:

Nestled in the rolling hills and vineyards halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, along California’s famed Central Coast. The Paso Robles wine grape growing region’s climate is perfect, with a long growing season of warm days and cool evenings that give rise to vibrantly ripened fruit with dynamic flavour profiles that translate beautifully in your glass.

This is a truly beautiful chardonnay. Just the right balance of tropical fruit, pear, stone fruits and citrus with light touches of vanilla and oak for balance. Well-structured, crisp, clean and sexy with sweet fruit flavours mingling with light minerals and oak, leading to a wonderful, long, rich, lingering finish.

Grapes from one of the oldest Zinfandel vineyards on the ranch where the deep-rooted vines thrive in rich, sandy loam soils. This 50-year old vineyard is located in the ‘epicenter’ of Lodi’s old vine Zinfandel district and is sustainably grown. 18 months in barrel.
