For over five generations, the Mettler family has been growing premium wine grapes in California’s famous Lodi appellation. Stewards of the land, farming over 800 acres – 300 of those owned by the family, including 75 acres certified organic by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) and the balance responsibly farmed according to Lodi Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing yielding the ultra-premium Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, which are the signatures of family pride showcasing over 100 years of grape growing excellence.

 

Mettler Family Vineyards Estate Grown Old Vine Zinfandel 2013– Epicenter (85% Zin/10% PS/3% CF/2% CS)

Grapes from one of the oldest Zinfandel vineyards on the ranch where the deep-rooted vines thrive in rich, sandy loam soils. This 50-year old vineyard is located in the ‘epicenter’ of Lodi’s old vine Zinfandel district and is sustainably grown. 18 months in barrel.

Domaine St. Férréol Provence Rosé 2016-Now Available Year-Round

Descriptions:

The Domaine Saint-Férréol estate, family owned since 1720, is situated deep in the countryside of Var, overlooking the vast plains of Pontevès, at the foot of the Bessillons peaks in Provence. Coteaux Varois en Provence is the smallest appellation in Provence, the most mountainous and furthest from the sea.The soil is clay-limestone which produces fresh, fruity wine. The varietals of the 2016 Rosé are Grenache (40%), Syrah (25%) Cinsault (15%) Carignan (15%) and Ugni-Blanc (5%)

Tasting Notes :

“Bright pink coral color. Fresh, fruity aromas of strawberry, kiwi, petite fours, and honeyed rice cake with a crisp, dry medium body and an interesting, medium-long kiwi, cherry stem, peach mango yogurt, and basil finish with clunky, chewy, fine, fruit tannins and no oak. A fresh, fruity, and tropical rose that will shine at the table.“

Traditional vinification at low temperature allows optimal extraction of aromas creating an intense nose of red fruits (wild strawberries and raspberry) and citrus (orange) wrapped in a classic pastel pink colour. Les Soleillades Rosé 2016 – Enjoy Year-Round

Descriptions:

The cuvée Les Soleillades is a selection of the best fruit of the Coteaux d’Aix en Provence. The traditional varieties Grenache (50%), Cinsault (40%) and Syrah (10%) are used.

The wine has a bright pink colour with a fruity aroma. It tastes of crisp watermelon with a citrus twist over a delicious raspberry background. Enjoy as an aperitif or will pair perfectly with charcuterie, grilled fish and chicken, Indian, Mexican or Thai food.

Lago Cerqueira Red – Douro

Descriptions:

Quinta da Calçada is located in the northern historic city center of Amarante, 40 minutes from Porto. It is located in the Amarante sub-region of the Vinho Verde region, about 10 minutes from the entrance to the Douro region.

Lago means “lake” in Portugese which reflects the refreshing style, but more importantly the wines are named after founder, António do Lago Cerqueira. Born in the palace (Casa da Calçada) he studied wine production and the latest techniques for vineyards, while in France. On returning to the palace, Lago Cerqueira applied his knowledge, planting vineyards that surround the Casa. He was an oenologist, diplomat and visionary.

Today Quinta da Calçada has the oldest planted vineyard in the region, that has been in production for almost 100 years. Inside the Estate you can also enjoy a 5 star Relais Châteaux Hotel and a one star Michelin Restaurant.

Tasting Notes Lago Cerqueira Red-Douro:  Aromas of prunes, strawberry and blackberries with sweet nuances of tobacco. Full-bodied. Aged in French & American oak for 3 months.
