Blend of Alfrocheiro (40%) an early ripening Dão grape with good colour, rich tannin, and balance of strawberry- like fruit acidity. Tinta-Roriz (40%) aka Aragonez in Portugal or Tempranillo in Spain an early ripening varietal which produces good yields and flavours reminiscent of red fruits, plums, strawberries and blackberries. It has firm tannins and responds well to oak aging. Touriga Nacional (20%) One of Portugal’s signature grapes, indigenous to the Dão. It has firm, rich colour and complex aromas of raspberries, ripe black currants, savoury herbs, violets and licorice.
