The name Fontanieu comes from an area at the foot of the village of Cadiere-d’Azur in the very heart of the Bandol appellation The vineyard spreads out in stone wall terraces to retain the soil. Bandol is a rare wine, with a very limited production: “one vine stock, one bottle”, is how the winemaker describes this intentional limitation of the yield. Blended to a brilliant pink hue.
